I would like you to meet the newest addition to our family, our sponsor child Rosalie. Rosalie is 11 years old and she lives in the Philippines with her parents and 6 siblings.
Rosalie and her family live on $133US/Monthly in a single multi-use room/house
I receive a letter from Children International informed me that the family home is in need of serious repairs.
I have set up a fundraiser to raiser the money to help this family with the repairs.
My home is that we can give them comfort by being able to tell them their home will be safe and dry when the rainy season hits.
Thanks to every one's generosity

A gift to my sponsor child

Angelito and his family are very happy and feeling blessed when they received the special gift. Angelito was excited to visit the mall together with his mother. He was satisfied with the food they ate. His experience during marketing was unforgettable and he wished that his sponsor is also with him that time and see how happy he was. He would like to express his appreciation and thankful for the kindness of his sponsor.
The gift will benefit the child and family:
Through the gift,he was able to buy a mattress for his family. They now have a comfortable sleep area. The mother of Angelito is very excited to use the new portable gas stove. She will no longer use the old kerosene stove which is already damaged and not safe for cooking. Likewise it will also facilitate the cooking of the mother. angelito is also glad to have his own plastic cabinet so he can organize his clothes and other personal stuff. They also purchased grocery items for their daily needs. His parents will no longer worry about their food for days to come. He is happy having all these things.
Dear Tamara
Thank you so much for the wonderful gifts that you sent me. My mother and I went to the mall and bought something that we needed in our daily life like mattress, that my family and I can sleep comfortable. The plastic cabinet were I can use to keep my clothes. My mother also bought portable gas stove, and some bags of groceries for our daily needs. My whole family were very happy for the wonderful gift that I received from you.
Again, thank you and more power God Bless
Always, Angelito

Jack and I decide to sponsor these 3 children from Ugandan.
Here are the bios of the 3 children that they took on:
First child on left is Esther Adong. She is in P.5. She stays with her sick mother and I have been seeing her always at the stone quarry breaking the stones to help meet the family needs. Their father has left them with their mother and she has about 6 more siblings who do not go to school. She is missing a lot of school because of the family's situation, but we hope that a sponsor will help to encourage her to stay in school. She is very bright.

The one in the Middle is Kabul Felix who is in P.5. He has three more siblings in the school ie. Brian, Joshua and Ivan. Their parents are going through a divorce process in court and their life has been very hard because they are neglected by both parents, and have been left on their own. They are often left starving on weekends and holidays.
The last on the left is Michael Twesigawe. He is living alone with his young brother. His father seperated with his mother who has left. Now their step mother is torturing them so much, that the father decided to rent for them a small one room house and now he and his brother are living without both parents all alone. He is in P.5

On October 21, 2009 Jhonalyn receives
1 double size bed with mattress
1 Assorted grocery items
1 meals and transportation expense
What were the child's/family's comments when gifts were delivered?
Jhonalyn was so happy when she learned that she will be having a bed. She said " i will share it with my sibling because I also want her to enjoy the comfort of sleeping , it is very timely because some of our wooden bed and mat were damaged due to the flood caused by the recent typhoon"Ondoy"
How will the gifts benefit the child and/family?
The double-sized bed will be shared by Jhonalyn and her younger sibling, Joy Ann who is her closet sibling. Jhonalyn and Joy Ann will now share the comfort of sleeping every night. The groceries will be shared by the entire family in one week time.
Additional Comments:
Jhonalyn decided to buy a double bed instead of a single bed with beddings, because she really wanted to share the comfort of sleeping with her younger sibling, Joy Ann. Since the amount is enough for a double bed, she opted to purchase it with so much joy because she can share the blessing with one member of her family
Dear Mrs Schilling
A Blessed and Joyful day to you and your family
